About the event
Join local artist and educator Liz Schreiber for a hands-on introduction to the art of seed mosaics! Liz has been making, teaching, and exhibiting her crop art since 2004, when she first entered the MN State Fair. More recently, her work has been featured in the "State Fairs: Growing American Craft" 2025-2026 Exhibition at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
In this two-hour workshop, you’ll create your own 7.5" x 7.5" seed mosaic while learning the fundamentals of crop art. Liz will guide you through an image transfer and teach you techniques for creating detailed, beautiful pieces using seeds and other natural materials.
Images will be provided for you to choose from, or you’re welcome to bring your own image to work with. Two hours isn’t quite enough time to complete a full piece, but you’ll have the opportunity to take materials home so you can finish your artwork at your own pace.
